What is it?

Scratchpad is your performing arts membership at Scratch Studio. With a Scratchpad monthly membership, you can reserve hours for working on your dance, choreography, monologues, scenes, self tapes, video/photo shoots and more. Scratch Studio is fully equipped with a sprung wood floor, and marley mats, a studio mirror, chairs, tables, curtains, water, and more. Scratchpad is $50/month and allows you up to 5 hours/month of booked time around Scratch’s regular reservations. If you use all your time each month, that’s only $10/hr.

Are you a dancer looking for a space to work on your routine, practice your choreography, or simply move freely? A scratchpad membership gives you access to sprung wood floors, marley, studio mirrors, a bluetooth speaker and flexible hours that fit your schedule.

Are you an actor looking to rehearse your monologues, shoot a self tape, or work on a scene? Scratch studio has been utilized by productions that have been featured at Actors’ Theater, London Nelson and beyond. Additionally, Scratch has a tripod for your phone to shoot self tapes, plus tables and chairs for your use.

No matter what kind of artist you are, we believe Scratch can be your home away from home, giving you the space to focus, and work on your craft.

How does it work?

1. Every Sunday at 12pm, Scratch will send out an email to its Scratchpad members, with a link to our availability calendar that shows what blocks have already been claimed. Members can book hours (up to 5 per month) from that Monday until the following Sunday, midnight to midnight.
2. We will likely be able to confirm your reservation on short notice, but we are committed to confirming within 24 hours at the latest so get those picks in quick.
3. Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. If we get two requests for the same time, we will honor what came in first, and reach out to see if another time works best.
4. Right now, we cannot provide rollover hours. Each member gets up to 5 hours per month, but unused hours are not rolled over to the next month.
5. Months are calendar months, and so if you sign up for Scratchpad in the final week of the month, your $50 will help you get 5 hours that week. If you sign up at the beginning of the month you can use it for all weeks in that month.
